I created this site to provide the latest news and views about homeschooling with an emphasis on items of interest to Christian African-American homeschoolers.
My mission is to encourage all African-American Christians (I will use this term interchangeably with black on this blog) to consider homeschooling their children as an alternative to the secular alternatives of public and private schools.
I believe that the future of our race depends on black Christians claiming our rightful place in Christ,living according to Biblical principles and raising our children accordingly. Homeschooling our children is an ideal way for us to further the cause of African-American education as our schools continue to fail us morally and academically.

My name is Tamiko Banks and I am the Director of the Black Home Schoolers Association in Kentucky. We recently launched our new website www.BlackHomeSchoolers.com and would be happy to have you post your blogs and articles on our site as well. Our ministry is going to be producing some very sweet, funny and educational videos for black homeschoolers that will feature young black children teaching and learning. We invite you to join the site free of charge and help us grow the community. Most of our videos along with other educational tools will be offered free of charge. Our mission at Black Home Schoolers Association will be to encourage others to take their children out of public school and explore home education with our assistance. We are home schooling our children also. We have 4 children with the fifth on the way due March 10th. my wife currently homeschools our 7 and 5 year old. She is a amazing woman and i love her!
